Editing cost and selling prices in bulk

I am new to Actinic (v9). Does anyone know how I can change the cost and selling prices of my catalogue items in bulk without having to edit every one individually.

I have about 1000 items In my old package I could do this on a csv in a matter of minutes.

Jan at moleend has a program the pricing tool that enables you to change prices by either a percentage or fixed price to either the whole site or part of it

You can also export product prices to excel so that you can change them in there is you want it to, the program is our profit, pricing and stock tool :

        http://www.mole-end.biz/acatalog/Profit_and_Price.html

If you do change them in excel you can them easily import them back into Actinic.

We also have an Actinic mash now which will export your product details into a Actinic flat file import, so you could use that to export the details, update it in excel and then use Actinic to import the details. Details and a free trial for this product are here :

            Hi Jan,

Great tool.... I've had to increase all my prices by 25% due to suppliers increasing their prices...

However, I've noticed that in the tool it states that the price increases will only be done on the main prices and not the component options. I have a number of products that have components and need these increases to reflect accross all prices. Please advise..

Also, I noticed that when I tried to decreased the prices by 25% the prices arn't the same as the original price. I would have thought if you increased by 25% then decreased by 25% then you would be back to you original price?

Maths lesson. Say you had £100 and you increase it by 25%. You have increased it by 25% of £100. That's £125. If you wanted to get it back to £100 you'd have to reduce it by 25% of that original £100, not 25% of the new value. The reduction on the new value would have to be 20% to get it back.
