Renaming of acatalog to shop

There are loads of posts on this but I can't find a "thicko's" step by step guide to renaming acatalog as shop - any guidance?

If it's a new site just click the change button in Network Setup.

If it's an existing site you'll probably want to forward existing URLs from the old directory name to the new one.
