Qty Price Break - In Catalog

I have Actinic Catalog V9 and understand that I have to upgrade to add qty price breaks. Is there any way round this?

An example of one of our products and its qty price break is as follows:

Spray Paint

1-49 = £2.95
50+ = £2.80
100+ = £2.66

and so on. It works if the person selects the product option and then enters the qty in the qty box, but not everyone will do this and its pot luck as to whether they do.

You need to upgrade, why the hesitancy not to? You will get coupon codes as another marketing feature and the new order form too, which is a couple of nice bonuses.

£499 is the reason why mainly. Too much to quantify to my company just for qty breaks
