Sage Line 50 to Actinic V8 overwriting section layout

Hey, wondering if anyone can help with this.

I have one section in my store that uses different templates and layouts to the rest of the store, as it is viewable by the public, and the rest of the store is hidden behind the login page, as it is for Trade only.

I'm having issues with everytime I re-import my stock from sage line 50, it overwrites the settings used in this one section, to the parent settings used by the rest of the sections.

has anyone else had these issues? i did a search on the knowledge base and on here but found nothing.

any help would be greatly appreciated!

oh yeah, im using V8 Business, Actinic Ecommerce v8.5.3 IDHB Upgrade ( the last download in the support section for V8 )

Hi Dean,

Well that shouldn't be happening but can you tell me what settings you have on the 'Products/Sections' tab of your Sage to Actinic profile (a screenshot would be good) and also, when you do the import are you 'updating' or 'replacing'?

thanks, for some reason, when i try to open the sage to actinic link, everytime it just does a new export, as opposed to letting me in to adjust the profile? it is fine when i open the actinic to sage one, but not the other way.

when i import we always have "update" selected

there are text files in the program file folder of the settings, would these be of any help ?

That sounds like you have a shortcut on your desktop that automatically runs the export. Try opening it through 'Start | All Programs'.

You could send me the last one created from the 'Output' folder and I'll take a look in it but there shouldn't be anything regarding layouts in it (tgsupport [@] actinic [dot] co [dot] uk).

Hi Dean,

Thanks for the text file. I've imported it into my software and changed the layouts for one section. I then made a change to the stock of a product in that section and re-imported the file but the layouts stayed the same. There is no reference to any layouts in the import file so it shouldn't be changing them. I suggest you contact support for further investigation as they will require your snapshot.
