    PAYPAL - Paid Orders are dumped as 'pending payment'

    After upgrading from Business V7 to Business Plus V9 we have noticed that all our orders that are being paid by PayPal are just being dumped into the 'Pending Payment' file. For some reason they are not automatically coming back being marked as 'paid'. They always did before in V7 (we upgraded last week to V9). It's not a PayPal problem so we don't see the need to be contacting them. The trouble is, we are having to search the 'Pending Payment' section often and manually deal with the PayPal orders. We shouldn't have to being do this. We are aware this problem can rarely happen now and again, but this is happening every time somebody pays by PayPal. Anyone know the fix?

    Hi,

    Orders go into the 'Pending Payment Service Provider' tab because there is no 'authorisation file' (also known as a 'callback') from the PSP on the server for the order. This is in the form of 'ordernumber.occ' and is found in the 'acatalog' folder. Do you get any messages when downloading regarding the authorisation file? Check on the server if these files exist.

    You could also try a 'purge & refresh' (Help | Troubleshooting - tick all boxes) to see if that helps (note that any customised perl scripts you have will have to be re-applied after the refresh).

    If that doesn't help then I'm afraid that you will have to contact Paypal to find out if they are sending out the callbacks. If they are then maybe your host can check if they are reaching your server.

      Hello - I've been having a similar problem with completed PayPal orders coming in marked as Pending, and am having to manually process these. No .occ file is appearing on the server.

      This error is appearing in the /acatalog/error.err file

      Program = ORDERSCR, Program version = 21561 , HTTP Server = Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS) , Return code = 999 , Date and Time = 2009/04/15 10:23, Internal Errors = INET_ATON failed - host not found (www.paypal.com: Resource temporarily unavailable)

      Any ideas?

      Have been waiting over six weeks since filing an Actinic Support query, with no resolution...

      Thanks.
