Quantity Based Discounts for Trade not generated???

    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone can help. I have what seems quite a simple set up. Two Customer Groups Retail and Trade - Trade has 20% off across the board.

So in a products prices tab, i can see the retail price and the 'generated' trade price with 20% off - i'm a happy bunny

Then i click the cross to add another Retail price for minimum quantity 3. Then click the cross again to add another Trade price for minimum quantity 3 - but the price is not generated and i cannot tick the box

Does that mean, if i set up quantity based discounts for retail/trade customers, i cannot apply a discount without entering it manually?

My problem being i want to have a 20% discount for trade as an opening offer and then may reduce it to 10% at a later date - with around 2000 products that may result in a hell of a lot of typing!

Please tell me i'm missing something simple.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions....i've searched forum and help files as i'm normally too impatient to post but cant find anything relating to it.

    Nikki.

    Hi Nikki,

I'm afraid that you haven't missed anything. When using the Quantity based discounting you have to specify the price of each item when they reach the minimum quantity amount, which would then override the amount of discount set up for the customer pricing on the number of items up to your first minimum quantity specified.

With regards to having a lot of typing to do when you change the overall percentage off, I can only suggest that you create a hierarchical import file that contains your products and the prices so you can use Excel to reduce the prices and then import it to update then within the software.

ahhhh...nevermind. i suppose it offers flexibility for adjusting specific prices, will just have to have a go with an import.

      thanks for your response.
