Duplicates linking to Original Product page.

Hi all,

Is there a way to have a link to the original product URL on it's duplicate product layout?

I have duplicated a number of our products into categories which has created a very large page of products for each category.. I would like to change the layout of the categories to only show a thumbnail and short description (to save space) for each duplicate - which I have no problem coding - with the addition of a link to the original product, so customers can get a see more details.

I have looked around the forums but all I could find was a vague reference to using the cgi-bin, but without any detail.

Please help.

If you search for "link to original instead of duplicate" you'll find a thread where Gabe comes up with a solution for SPP that you may be able to use.
