    GoogleBase and Component Prices

    Hi all,

I know this has been done to death, and I've spent the morning reading searched posts, but can someone just confirm the following.

    If I have

    Product A: £10.00

    And then have
    Component A: £11.00
    Component B: £12.00
    Component C: £13.00
    Component D: £14.00

And export to Base with 'Sum of Product and Component Prices' enabled, will it list:

    Component A: £21.00
    Component B: £22.00
    Component C: £23.00
    Component D: £24.00

Will it also list Product A: £10.00, as this wouldn't be strictly accurate, would it(?)

    Thanks guys
    Simon

    OR ...

Would it be better to have each component as an individual item?

It will list one product with a price of £10. Which is what google expects I believe.

        Thanks for that Jan.

Has anyone got any tips on this they'd care to share on how to get round this issue?

If the components are optional, then surely £10 is the correct price? If not optional, then £10 is not correct, it should be product + component price, in which case you could just change the main product price and have a pricing model of sum of components. I'm confused at what the issue is here?

            Hi Lee,

Are component prices exported to Base? Or is it just the main product price?

            Thanks again

Edit: not to worry, I'm just having a look at the data in Excel.

              Regards,
This has already been answered by Jan.

Here's a question though, are Hidden Products exported in the Google Feed?

If so, could you associate your components to hidden products, thus submitting everything to Google.

Google will probably reject your feed if you submit more than one entry for the same product on the website.

Actinic doesn't export hidden products, my feed doesn't either by default but you can set an option to have them exported.
