The 'fix' above that adds INV before the order number should be OK in the interim as then all invoices will be unique. Otherwise you may have to get a manual sequential number stamper in the interim till v904 is released.

Thanks Duncan, did the fix but wasnt sure it would produce unique numbers, printing off invoices in the morning so I will look with interest - dont fancy resurrecting the stamper!Comment

I'm not sure about that, if you contact Support they may have come up with a workaround. Or maybe someone else here can suggest something?Comment

For your info now it uses the prefix INV in front of the order number to produce an invoice number so cetainly unique but very long!

Not been an issue until last week, then two clients have flagged up the problem.
Now I appreciate that this is fixed in 9.04, which I understand is imminent to go into Beta.
However, as this is a legal requirement and the workaround is not really effective, is it not possible for Actinic to issue a good old fashioned 'Patch'?
Otherwise, do I advise my clients to cease trading until Actinic gets its act together?
BTW: The clients perception is, again, that it is MY fault!Comment
