design view not responding

hi, we are using v9.03 business plus, today the design view has stopped working.
I want to amend some layouts and on clicking on design view/ split view, when i click on an element nothing is selected.
I have tried restarting.
Am i missing something as normally everything works ok.

ok have sorted it out must be a bug.
I had entered a link to a text file in site options/general/text for right box.
Actinic seems to hang with it, when i remove the text hunky dory!

have you added some external code (tracking or suchlike)?
If so, try putting a blockif round it IsPreviewMode == false

This is a common problem but I had to go a fair way back in the search to find reference to it
