    Sharing Violations on upload

    Evening all,

I recently "upgraded" to Vista Ultimate 32bit, and also to V9.03 IMMA from 9.01 via a clean install and subsequent snapshot import. Everything imported fine but I'm getting seemingly random sharing violations on extended info pages on almost every upload. I've renamed all extended info pages- there are no duplicates- and tried purge/refresh, compacting databases. The error simply says "a sharing violation occurred when accessing xxfilename.html" but the upload continues- when viewing the extended information page I get the 404 page not found come up, but I can add to basket etc from the main product page ok.
From my limited understanding it's local file sharing rather than server filesharing, in which case I can't see how it's happening in such a random way?
Site is http://www.fairygoodies.co.uk - I'd appreciate any pointers.
    Thanks
    Ben

    Hi Ben,

At a guess, it could be an issue with User Account Control (UAC). It might be worth testing it with that turned off. If that doesn't work then I suggest you contact support to investigate this further.

      Thanks Tracey,
I have UAC turned off, and it was still happening. However it's not happened today on several uploads. I'll keep tabs on it and if it continues I'll raise a ticket.

Do you have any kind of backup software running that automatically backs up new files. If so it may be opening these files when Actinic is also trying to do something with them.

I'd echo Norman's suggestion. I get sharing violations if I forget to pause the back up while doing an upload.

I do have Bullguard backup, but it's not running usually when I upload. I'll check it's off via task manager/processes rather than just exiting, and see if there's any improvement. Thanks all for the replies so far.
