Order number controls

We are receiving emails from apparent Customers following up orders that we cannot find in our system.

Is there a ways of checking log files of orders received ?

Can orders go missing on the host site (what file does an order get stored in)?

Can I change the numbering nomenclature, I don't need to know the post code + id combinations etc. etc.

I would like all orders to be numbered 0001......9999. That way I can easily identify a gap and investigate. Can it be done ?

One thing is to set it so that a copy of the email sent to customers when they order is sent to you as well. a monitor of the situation whilst you fix it.

have you looked in the pending PSP tab - thats the usual place they hide

Yes. It's been asked for before and the solution is already on the forum.
