custom sidebar

I want to put a tartan sidebar on.

Is this easily done? bearing in mind I don't know a lot about HTML

if you dont know alot of html then its probably not easily done.

Lots of things are possible in actinic but it you need to learn how to do it.

What theme are you using, how are you planning on making the tartan menu, im guessing background image e.t.c

I was hoping just to use a background image....but not as simple as it seems then
