Sales analysis not showing manual adjustments

Just upgraded to 903 IMMA and have found the following problem. With one of my products I manually adjust the price for some customers. This shows up ok in the total cost column on the completed orders page. But when I look at the sales analysis it shows the original cost and not the adjusted cost. I've read the other problems related to sales analysis but none seem the same as this. Any thoughts?

How do you adjust the price?

Select the order, then under 'Line Items' click 'add adjustment'. Put a minus figure in and that applies the manual discount.

As I'm sure you've noticed, the order adjustment creates a new line item for the adjustment rather than changing the price of an existing line/product.

I would say the sales report is showing the correct price for the product as that hasn't been changed.

The sales analysis was fine in v8 doing exactly the same thing. Each discounted item appeared with the correct price and at the end of the report it list the total discount given as '-130' as an example.

OK. So what you're saying is that your V9 report is no longer showing the 'discounts given' total as it did in V8?

I think the only diffences between the SA in v8 and v9 is the tax mode changes in v9.

When you say the discount was at the end of the report, do you mean after the sub reports by country,quantity, price and customer or after the Summary at the top?

Can you pdf and post a report that shows this in v8?

Which parts of the reports seem to you to be incorrect now, is it the ones that show top x by product price/product quantity or the other two?

I haven't got the ability to pdf the doc but I'll try and explain. In v8 in the summary on page 1 the grand total is correct that includes the manual adjustments. On page 2 ' products by order quantity' the prices are the original before discount ( Mike was right). At the end of the page the last entry is for a minus amount which is the total manual adjustments made over the period. I know this isn't a particular good way of discounting but I only had Catalog and for various reasons it was the easiest way. I now have Business and will be working to change things when time allows. But at the moment I still need these manual adjustments and need to know the correct totals on the sales analysis. Having read that there have been quite a few problems with this report in v9 I just wonder if this is another clitch.

There is a problem with the V9 sales analysis report in that it doesn't remove adjustments from the totals in the summary at the top and in the subreports that show order totals. If you contact Actinic support they should be able to give you a fixed up report.

The regard to the negative entry for adjustments at the end, this should still show, however the report shows top x so unless you change the options from top x to show all then this figure may not show because it will always be the last in the list because the lists are show in value order.

With regard to making adjustments this way, I don't think that there is a better way really, except for MOTO orders where you can now set an option in business settings to allow a price override for MOTO which allows you to manually change the price before adding an product to the basket.

With reference to the above, can you tell me how to do this, I've had a look but can't find out. Now that I've got Business I'm going to change the whole way I give discounts to regular customers, so hopefully in the future I shouldn't be using the manual adjustments anymore.

First go to business settings / order processing tab and check that you have unit price override ticked.

Now a new box called 'Override unit price' will appear on the MOTO form and you can enter a different price to the standard one in there and in the offline order wizard you are able to type a new price into the standard price field.
