    Debugging problem

I've loaded actinic on a second pc to maintain our website whilst the original is upgraded.

However, despite the site appearing in the actinic program, every time I look at a page or a product, the 'just-in-time 'debugger appears, and points to a line break (script error - object expected).

The path to the objects seem ok (c:/documents and settings/admin/my documents/actinic v8/sites/site1/*filename*

Is this a problem with the debugger (so can I turn it off?), or a site problem?

Did you import via a snapshot or by copying the Site folder across? Maybe try the one you didn't use to see if that resolves the problem. Otherwise it sounds as if it's Access playtime.

Sounds like you should try uninstalling and reinstalling Actinic, making sure that the path you choose to install your Site folders is the same on both PCs. Also make sure that you have exactly the same version of Actinic on both computers. After importing the snapshot shot on the new pc also try copying over the complete Site folder contents.
Also if on one of the PCs is running Vista then make sure that the Actinic version you are using is compatible.

I've tried installing several times, and doing both methods of snapshot and copying across.

Snapshot (which I normally use) gives this error, but dragging across the site folder stops actinic running at all.

Both PC's are running the same version of XP

          Hi,

I think the 'just-in-time debugger' can be switched off through Internet Explorer | Tools | Interenet Options | Advanced'. There are a couple of debugging options to disable script debugging. You could see if one of those does it for you. It does, however, sound like there is a problem with one of your javascripts so that should be checked out.

Preview the page that's giving the warning, then copy / paste the URL into Firefox and use its Tools / Error Console to get decent diagnostics. IE's warnings are almost useless.
