    Discrepancies In Sales Anaysis Reports

    Hi,
    I use the figures generated from the monthy sales anaysis reports generated in Actinic V9 for accounting purposes. I have come to do my year end and pulled up a Sales Analyis report for the year combined. This figure did not tally with each month combined that had been printed out previously. I then did a retrospective report for each month. 4 month differ quite significantly. For these months the shipping fees are virtually identical but the goods are not the same. I expected a small difference because of the odd refund but the figures I am getting are significantly different. I am now completely unsure as to which figures are correct!

    There was a thread about this yesterday, the sales analysis report has a bug ATM in that adjustments are not taken into account in adjustments, could this be causing your problem, if so contact Actinic support.

      What appears to be happening is that the VAT due on goods and shipping are being added to the goods, then it adds shipping then it adds the VAT due on goods and shipping again.

        Sounds like a bug then, you need to report it to Actinic.

          It's bit rough when it takes 6 hours of number crunching to try to find where the accounts have gone wrong, only to find that the software can't add up properly! I see from another thread that this has been a bug as far back as August 07. Why hasn't someone contacted those of us with dogdy software?

            Just spoke to Support who say they know nothing about it. There is however another thread and a patch via Actinic Community. They have told me to download v9.0.3 IMMA. Does anyone who had the same problem know whether this will sort it. The last time I downloaded something to fit one thing it created moe problems that the one it solved so I am now a bit of a sceptic.

              903 has approx 200 bug fixes Rachel, so even if it causes an issue to be fixed, I'd still advise the move. 903 was the first stable version of V9.

                  Have downloaded the upgrade but now seem to be unable to open the site at all, have been waiting for 1/2 hour for it to do something.arrrghhhhhhh

                    Hopefully you will have a backup before you did the upgrade.
                    If so, try uninstalling Actinic and installing the full version of Actinic 9.0.3 (not the upgrade), then try importing the snapshot.

                      Thank you, I did, I was advised to do this by Actinic Support but decided to try to download the upgrade again. After the 7th attempt and a lot of praying and finger crossing it worked. It appears to have fixed the fault with the miscalculations with the Sales Analysis. He's hoping that is the end of it.

                        That's good to hear.
                        I have used a fair bit of software and find they all have their fair share of problems. But i do find Actinic are on the ball, and support/work a rounds are there if you need it - either it be from themselves or from the fantastic developers that are about
