    looks like maybe your Top Level Section List layout has changed?
    Site Options > Layouts > Top Level Section List Layout ?
    check for anomolies?
    Obviously hard to tell without knowing what it was in the first place

      I was tinkering with column counts in sections over the last day or two but had uploaded and saved snapshots several times without issue, my concern is that importing snapshots isnt putting things back so I have to assume the actinic installation may need re doing..

        I would love to say "I doubt it", Ed but, nowadays, with Actinic, I never assume anything!

        I can see from your screenshot, you did this morning, that it was ok then and it does seem odd that it isn't being 'fixed' by reverting to an earlier snapshot.

        I'm not sure what to suggest on this one.

          Well Im completely refreshing at the mo and if that cures the nav buttons I can go back to the duplicate issue, if not its reinstall and lose a couple of days work but anything beats this frustration!

            If it wasnt so tragic it maybe funny but if you look at the site now its painful - reinstalled actinic and have imported various snapshots..........ftp errors and timeouts now to add to the fun.

                    I presume you haven't had a successful site refresh all the way through?

                      ftp errors - trying another refresh whilst waiting for the callback, I use actinic hosting and never had timeouts like this before - the site is only around 550 pages.

                        Well even after two calls chasing support never returned the call! I have made it through e refresh so the "look" is back - back to the duplicate add to cart error step by step...thanks for the help again - I will post an update later.

                          All fixed - turned out to be the new layout (section link with product details) where the variable in this was productref instead of productID, printed mine and the one from the AUG off and stared at them until I spotted the error.

                          Tracey it was nearly the productref / productID issue but not in the cart layout but in the section link with product details layout - thank you so much for all your help today.

                            This doesn't surprise me because, on reading the thread I linked to, Rich found the same thing. That the AUG code uses ProductReference where it should be ProductID.

                            This should be changed so that new versions of the AUG show the correct code, as well as in the KB. I presume the code there is now correct and it's a better place to look than what could be an outdated AUG.
