    SMTP Error - webfusion?

    Hi all,

I can't seem to send any e-mails using actinic and the website contact us page isn't working either.

I can download orders and upload the site ok.

Everything was working perfectly fine, checked Webfusion's system status and nothing has appeared on there.

network test gives this error message, I haven't changed any of my settings when it was working ok.

The computer you specified as your mail server is not a valid mail (SMTP) server. Check the computer name or address and try again. If it fails again, then it is possible, you were locked out by a firewall program, or you don't have network connection to this server.
    Actinic Mail Test completed successfully

    connection: passed
    sockets: passed
    communications: failed
    authorisation: failed
    message: later.

      Hi,

Tried changing it mail.myserverworld.net and it doesn't work.

It was working fine with localhost and all of sudden has stopped working.

      thanks

My Webfusion SMTP is mail.domain.com - though this is a VPS so might be entirely unrelated.

You should be talking to Webfusion support and asking them if they've changed anything or have any problems.

I've been having exactly the same problem for the last few days but was too busy to contact Webfusion support but will definitively do if the problem doesn't go away by Monday. My emails are working on and off. It was okay this morning for few hours but not working now.

                Hi there,

Everything was ok this morning, then went to send some shipped e-mails later on in the day and it's down again.

Some orders have been placed tonight and I have received all the e-mails catalog order received etc, but now the e-mail isn't working again.

hmm, onto webfusion first thing I think....

The websites don't work either this morning.

Just checked the server status and it says:

                  Planned Email maintenance
                  Created: 18 March 2009, 16:54
                  Last Updated: --

There will be essential maintenance carried out to our Webmail server on Friday 20th March 2009 until Saturday 21st March 2009.

From 23:00 - 07:00 Webmail access will be turned off and there will be no access to e-mails during this time.

We will update the status page with further news once this has been completed.

I hope they sort it out quickly
