    OK, got this working now.

    Refered to the copy on the live site instead of locally.

    I need to go and live down now :!

        I changed:

        <link rel="stylesheet" href="primary.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />

        to:

        <link rel="stylesheet" href="http://www.grahamgoode.com/acatalog/primary.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />
        and since the css file was ready up, it was found.
        I've got no idea why it worked - it's always worked fine the way it was until the transfer.

        Hopefully this is a temporary situation and I won't have to upload files independently of the store when I can access my usual work station.

          Your steps although they might have sorted you out in the short term are not a great idea long term. Stylesheet should be uploaded by actinic, period. Either your css is faulty, you have it in the wrong place or have referenced it incorrectly. There seems no other logical reason for this. Where is the stylesheet stored on your PC?

            Don't link absolute to the server - this temporary solution will only give you issues. Ensure the .CSS file is in the root of the site1 folder on your machine and link relative to that.

              When was the last time you did a back-up?

                Jan at Mole End has a free actinic MDB backup program that you can set up to automatically make a backup after so many mins or hours, lot faster than snapshot for small changes
