Changing references

Hi All

What are the implications of changing the product reference codes?

One of our suppliers has changed a lot of their codes, and I want to change ours to suit. I was concerned that I may have to create new products each time, but I seem to be able to change them OK. The only problem is that the Product Price description has returned to its default value of "Price:"

Paul you can change your Product Price description Globally:

Site Options | General | Product | Product Price Description

main thing to watch out for is if the products appear in your marketing lists, Actinic may throw a wobbly if you change them.
Just something to watch out for, anyway.
I changed mine almost through the WHOLE catalogue, about 12 months ago, and I'm still alive to tell the tale

I have set the description globally as: '<b>Price:'
But I have to change that wording in some sections
to 'price per pack 3.03sqm:' as you can see here on the product at the top of this page : http://www.flooringsales.co.uk/acatalog/Oak_Planks.html

If I change the reference number, the price description reverts back to '<b>Price:'

Ah okay, sorry. I wasn't much help was I LOL.

Not sure why it's defaulting back, is it a product you're changing or a product duplicate?
