    Payment Method / Additional comments on confirmation email

    Can anyone tell me how I would get the following items to be added/printed on the confirmation email that is sent out once an order has been placed:

    1. Payment Status
    2. Payment Method
    3. Shipping Zone
    4. Comments

    The reason is that the our copy of the email goes to different people to extract different information e.g. comments to marketing, Shipping zone to packing, payment status/method to accounts etc etc

    Any help is much appreciated.

    You can edit the email text. Depending on the version you are running as to how it's done. If you have v9 go to design tab change the drop down menu to email and change / add the text to the template. D

      I wish it was that easy.

        I'd imagine Duncan (Username Drounding) or Jan (Mole-End.biz) should be able to assist in this field, they both offer custom reports and such.

          It's probably worth checking whether the proposed solution for v9 will work for v8. From memory it will.

              In V8.5.3 switch to design tab, in Select Page Type, find Order Received Email open the edit layout details and make changes to the layout using actinic variables.

                I can't seem to find the correct variables to insert, do the ones I want actually exist?

                  Try looking at the various checkout pages and highlight the code for the items you want, for example GeneralHowFound and GeneralWhyBuy hold the two comments that you are after. The payment one is going to be a bit harder as it will depend on how you take payments, but try the receipt page.

                    Great, many thanks, exactly what I was looking for.

                    The only variable I am struggling to find is the 'PAYMENT STATUS' any ideas where to find this one?

                    Now I've found these variables is there a list of all them somewhere which I can save/print off?



                    Just tested and placed a dummy order, but instead of getting the responses in the variable fields, I get the gollowing:

                    Q. Why did you choose to buy our material?
                    A: NETQUOTEVAR:GENERALHOWFOUND

                    Q. Where did you hear about us?
                    A: NETQUOTEVAR:GENERALWHYBUY

                    How can I get the actual response?
