    Upload Error

    HI,

    Using v9.0.3.

Has been fine uploading, then last night keeps getting stuck after about 3/4 of uploading.
Searched over the forum and have doen the following:
    Changed Script ID
    Changed FTP options
    Rebooted, router and modem.
    Purged
    Compact databases
    Refresh

Still the same, any more ideas?
See that is a know "bug" with this issue, but how can you update your site?

    Thanks

If you have MS Access you could try compacting the database from there. This seems to be recommended by Actinic support.

    Mike

Edit: This is for crashing during upload. If it's just getting stuck then the first thing I would try is a network test and sort any errors.

It might be worth checking that you can manually upload a file to your site using FTP, this will at least prove that your FTP account is working.

I have had a problem in the past where I had exceeded my monthly usage allowance with my broadband account and although I could still browse the internet (at reduced speed) all FTP activity was blocked.

          Hi,

Will the downsize of the Product Cache, unsure which one to open and change. Site used to be in sites, directory. Have search on Actinic v9 dir they seem to be a few of 'ActinicCatalog.mdb' in different directories
Which directory is the 'ActinicCatalog.mdb' located in?

          Thanks

I doubt if the product cache is related to this problem. This is really to correct a problem with actinic getting busy when editing and moving around the content tree. If anything

If you do decide to do this the V9 database is normally in Actinic V9/sites/site1

Have you tried FTPing from your machine outside of v9?

I had a really strange problem last month with Vista almost identical to this. FTPs would get about two thirds of a way through and fail. I virtually ripped the machine apart trying to get to the bottom of it, then one day it was fixed. A quick look through the logs told me a Windows update did some 3am magic.

I didn't have v9 on the machine in question so cant comment if it did the same thing.

We are finding that we have to advise clients to increase timeout settings in network settings - under enhanced FTP - specifcially for 9.0.3

                      Hello,

Actinic support asked us to increase ours to 10,000 and 30,000 which did the job.

                      Regards, Robert
