V9 Plugins and enhancements

Just wondering if V9 is more suitable for plugins than V7.
Im looking for a live 'realtime' price list and image / file upload.

Norman at www.drillpine.biz has plugins for image and file uploads for V8/V9, he also has an image upload for V7.

Ive emailed Norman previously and I think it was too much work to get everything I wanted running on v7.

The most important thing at the moment is getting it running with a dynamic price calculator, like the pc builder site which constantly updates the price as options are added. Is this still possible / available ?

Norman has a plugin called 'Dynamic Permutation Prices' or similar name that updates the price displayed depending as different permutaions are selected.

It is not listed on his main page but is available.
