    Print setup not working

This morning I have been trying to print packing lists, invoices etc. - pressing the printer setup button on the print dialogue box doesn't work, neither does "File/Print Setup..." - clicking it just doesn't do anything. The default printer is there, on, and is working from other programs. If I try to print a packing list for example, I get: "Error in File C:\Program Files (x86)\Actinic v9\Orders.rpt: No default printer." I'm on 9.0.3... IMMA, under 64 bit Vista. Anyone seen this before? Not sure what has changed since I last successfully printed from Actinic
    Cheers

I have a default printer set already, I have changed it and changed it back but the problem is, Print Setup button doesn't work. If I try the registry fix, it won't let me delete that key. Have restarted Actinic, rebooted machine, no joy.

You may need to switch off UAC in Vista at least to delete the key.
That said perhaps try switching off UAC in any case and try printing.

It's seemingly not a UAC issue, tried that, still says "unable to delete the key" or words to that effect, when I try. The only UAC issues I have with Actinic are the extra confirmation to start it, and it won't allow One-Stop-Automation to run from startup, I have to confirm that afterwards.

However, I have managed to get it working again - I renamed the site in "file.. sites" (previously it was called Site1) and hey presto my print setup is working again. For now, anyway.

            EDIT:
Scrub that. It *is* a UAC problem. Next time I tried to print, I got the same problem (Print Setup worked OK only the first time after turning off and back on the UAC). With UAC off I can print OK, so for the moment I will have to run my computer with UAC off so I can print from Actinic. I've had this new Vista machine for about a month and it's been fine until now.

Actinic are looking into this, but could you confirm whether it's a V8 or V9 problem, because you've mentioned it in both forums?

We have tried this end with Vista 64 (and Win 7 64 for that matter) with 9.0.3 with UAC on and Actinic prints fine, even if we keep toggling the UAC on and off. In regards to not being able to delete keys, a quick search in Google of 'cannot delete registry keys Vista 64' brings up a myriad of customers who have had the same problem as well as various solutions that can be tried.

                    Hope this helps

Hi, I had the same problem using 64bit vista ,If the printer was left off until after the select printer / print screen then it worked ok. Not sure what difference this made but if the Printer was on before it did not work. I was using a HP Deskjet printer
