Hey all,
Hope everyone is having a good easter weekend.
I am trying to set up a discount system for our website, a brief description is:
Customer buys a surfboard - gets bag at half price and fin for free
I have played with discounts and stuff and never been able to get the desired results so never really used them in full but it is now needed as we will be selling stock boards over the internet so i need to get the discount structure sorted.
I've set up multiple product groups, all with the correct products in (boards, bags, fins etc) and set up 2 discounts both based on the surfboard group on a qty of 1 giving a percentage discount off the extra product from the boardbag / fin group.
When you add a board to the shopping cart both the discounts are listed below, and when you complete one it calculates it correctly, but then when adding the other - it does not add the discount.
If you then remove the first discount that you did; which is showing correctly, the second discount will then apply itself.
Both the checkbox's relating to 'only one discount per order' are unchecked so i cannot think what this is...
I have managed to make a bodge work around by making components with assosiated products at the reduced price but this then will only then put the discount when the add the board and not after (unless they remove it and add it again) - this is ok'ish but i would like the user to be able to go and look at the individual product page before selecting it on a dropdown.
Anyone have any idea how i can do this?
Thanks!
Dan
