Multiple Sites / Same Customer Accounts

Anyone got an idea or easy solution for this one...?

I have several brands and multiple stores, rather than create one 'central' strore to maintain brand integrity I wanted to offer the product at it's brand site, for wholesale purchases you need to be logged on.

So, I think copy/paste of customeraccount.fil on each update would work although have not tried it by placing that in each site folder from the one I just updated but is there an easier way to have common logons for one customer over all the sites and installations, perhaps automatically updating each account rather than having to go into every install and add the same details over and over.

We may have to revert back to a B2B site but that would not be first choice.

I can't think of any better suggestion than what you're intending to try with customeraccount.fil

Won't it be a pain though for your wholesale clients to have to go to mutliple stores and place multiple orders.

Customer accounts are odd - they have an internal ID that can only be maintained by transferring them by snapshot - for even if for example you exported the accounts from one site and imported them into another then they would have different internal numbers and so would be seen as different accounts. This is why I don't think that copying the customers.fil file would work, you would probably find that the account orders either didn't download at all or that they downloaded but showed up as orders for the wrong customer. I might well be wrong though.
