    Image Paths!?

Hi we are classixshop [dot] com,

Recently i've moved our section logos for our site which many contains images for sections and some prouct level based images into the site1 folder. Their previous path being site1/images/section_logos/... I moved them all and re-selected their paths within Actinic v8. But out of all the images i moved the only image that is giving me a problem is our 'Enlarge' button which is used to generate the extended information of a product. Now i have checked the extended infortion settings in site options and the path is now selecting the file in the site1 folder only, but whenever i make a snapshot of our site i'm greeted with the lovely message which follows:

    Errors
(File ExportFiles.cpp, Line 456) - The file C:\Program Files\Actinic v9\Sites\Site1\images\section_logos\enlarge.gif was not found System error 3 - The system cannot find the path specified.
    ..

Now the only other place i checked was the ExtInfoButtonFileName variable and checked it's file path there which was referencing site1 only. My question is, is there anything else that could be using this path and how can i find this out, or is there something i have missed? As far as my knowledge the enlarge button has only been used as the button for the extended info button and nothing else, but i hate error! lol Any help appreciated FrAz

Image paths can sometimes get a little confused in Actinic if you move the images and then edit the image path in Actinic, A refresh of your website usually resolves the issue.

I've refreshed our site, purged, compacted and did another snapshot and was greeted by the same message as before

        Any other possibilities?

        Cheers

There must still be some entry in the database looking for that file in that path.

Try doing a catalog export and search the csv file created for the filename and path.

Zero result there, exported our catalog and searched for the file name and path and came up with no results. You definately right about Actinic still being linked to that specific path, but how!? That file was only ever used for my Extended information button and that's now refrenecing a site1 image only. It must be some gay Actinic bug...?

could you not do a search for the file name in the layouts (design --> library --> , then choose the layouts tab and right click, select find, and make sure the code tick box is selected). Then delete all references to it?

You've posted in a V8 forum, but the error is saying V9. What version are you using?

Have you ever upgraded? Have you imported a V9 Snapshot back into V8, because that will not work?

Well spotted Rich, the error shouldn't mention V9

Ahh. my bad. I don't think actinic will let you import a snapshot from a newer version. The error messeage was from my version 9 test of the same site, but it's technically the same error, i still get the same error on v8 but it just says v8 instead. Sorry about that. that make sense?

I think you may have to get your hands dirty and go in via Access.
                          Backup your database first.

Do you get the error in V8 with a V8 snapshot? If so have you tried all of the above?

Do you have Access? Could you open up the data base and search for the img there? Remember to back up, belt and braces, before going in.
