    Error Box in Checkout Pages

    Hi,

I've spent a good deal of time trying to figure this out for myself but to no avail. I'm looking to edit the error box that appears in the checkout pages if you don't supply valid or complete information.

I know I can edit the text in Design > Text which I have done but I want to edit the table the message appears in. It's currently a washed out colour in a nasty "3D" HTML table and I'd like to make it clearer and more obvious for the user.

I can see it appears through the checkout pages as Error but I can't figure out how to get at it to give it the new styling.

    Any pointers much appreciated.

    Kind regards,

    Amy

I'm pretty sure the html code for the table is also within design | text and where you need to change it. From memory it has a width="500" added to it.

      Thanks Lee ...

Thanks Lee, you're spot on as usual ...

Design Text --> Website --> HTML

      Errors Box Start
      Errors Box List Item
      Errors Box End

      Job done. :-)

Woohoo the memory hasn't gone yet then, .

Your new site's looking very nice Amy, good work, looking nice and fresh. Make sure you check it in IE8 though, couple of funny things happening on the product layout.

Doesn't the amount of Actinic knowledge you have, scare you just a little bit? One more variable and you might start to forget how to tie your shoe laces or something?

Thanks re: site looking better. We made it wider as you suggested and it's given me lots of space to play with.

Damned IE8 - the browser tweaks are endless - will take a look.

          Ta,

I never really look at things in that way tbh, it's what i don't know that scares me.

I remember a mass of purple before, this one caught my eye immediately, looks fresh, wider () and generally fits with the marketplace much better IMO. I'd be proud if i'd done that myself.

It's actually a very compliant browser i find now, it's the previous versions that bugger you up, i can't wait til IE6 dies, so crap that is. Your rounded header will need to be made deeper if it is a background image, not so more shows all of the time, just so that if things do want to expand and try and bugger you up, the excess is there already to cover for you.

For example if you add a rounded graphic at the top, put it into a container, add it as a bg image and set the height at say 10px, but create the graphic as 15px, it has 5px then (the usual max discrepancy you find) to expand and use across browsers.
