duplicate short description in shopping cart

is there any way to have the short description of a duplicate product showing in the shopping cart instead of the original short description?

I'm afraid that there isn't a way of doing this at the moment. Actinic combines order lines with the same product reference., and uses the original product description

It's already on the wish list. I'll update the counter.

this is a real PITA for us as it means we have to list all models an item fits, in a duplicate's short description, rather than just the model section an item is in.
