INET_ATON failed - host not found

Our client gets the following error when trying to send an email to the customer;

Failed to communicate with the SMTP server.

Possible Cause:
1. Network transmission problems.
2. Could have Changed the SMTP Server settings, but not Uploaded after that.

Recommendation:
1. Retry
2. Upload the Site First, if you have changed the SMTP Server Settings.

Resolution:
If retry fails, check your SMTP settings
or contact your ISP.

Does it pass the network set up test?

May be worth pasting the network setting (less sensitive data) and who the host / ISP is and someone may be using a similar combination.

Thanks for the reply Jonty. The issue has resolved itself. Must have been a little issue with the server.
