    Restricted Section Specific Navigation

    Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone can help me. I have a client who we will be started a new site for shortly and we have a dilemma which I hope someone can help with.

My client has a site which sells running shoes. They have a lot of subsections so we were suggesting a Male and Female top level section which will allow customers to drill down into their desired gender specific section.

What my client and I wanted to find out was whether anyone has come across an actinic site that has navigation intelligent enough to show/hide the male or female section. The person would get to the top level sections by two hard coded links across a horizontal nav. See example site http://www.runningwarehouse.com/

I was thinking of an ID for the parent section and its siblings. If anyone has come across anything similar then please let me know.

    Regards.
    Lee.

It's very easy to do once you understand variables and blockifs. Find the tutorials thread (layout forum I think) and read all 5 that Gabriel posted and then read the splitting up your TLS one. That should give you all the info you need. You can see a loose example of this here - http://www.fantronix.com/ - where the buttons in the header decide which menu will show down the left.
