Copy section with duplicate products

I have a client who is trying to copy entire sections which contain many products.

When they paste the section, Actinic tries to create new products. They do not want to create new products, but duplicate them, so they are still linked to the original products.

I have been told by support that this isn't possible, but I know there are a lot of Actinic gurus out there and just thought it would be worth double checking, especially as I have had another client asking if this can be done this morning.

Setup a product, then duplicate it, then export the catalog and see how the two are differentiated. Repeat the method on the required products and then reimport the file would be my suggestion.
