    Teclan Tabs

Hi - has anyone tried the free teclan tabbs add on?

I already have Normans, but thought I'd try the Teclan ones to see how they work out.

However, I'm not sure I've got them to work properly because you can see both tabs at the same time which I presume is not correct! http://www.itmustbegreen.co.uk/acata...s_sun_hat.html

Might it be that I have Normans tabs set up as well and there is some conflict? Or have I just missed some setting?

    Dorian,
Best bet here is to drop myself or support[@]teclan.com a direct email with your preferred contact details on it and we can advise you accordingly.

Initial look [Im not on my Development machin] seems to suggest that some required CSS has not been implemented, hence the reason both tabs are showing.
Everything else looks OK, but as I say, drop an email to support@ and you'll get the best response there.

      Thanks Fergus,

Actually, I had written to Teclan twice with no reply (which seems normal from my past experience with them), so then raised a support log through the web (with no reply) and then called support - to be promised to be called back - but nothing!

I eventually called back again yesterday and was told that they weren't really supporting the add ons as they were free and even though the chap was helpful, they couldn't really help.

Hence I raised it within the community to see if anyone else had tried the tabs and might know what I had done wrong? If you can help I'd
      greatly appreciate it!

        Hi
I installed the tabs last night and it looked like yours did.

I found out that the text you need to put in you header was wrong. What you need to do is change all ˝ to " and it all worked great after that.

This is the code that I used

        <script type="text/javascript" src="teclan-tabs.js"></script><link rel="stylesheet" href="teclan-tabs.css" type="text/css" />

Thanks - that's it exactly! Works fine now. Now just need to make them look a bit better (they're a bit sqaure and not as smooth looking as in the sample Teclan site). Thanks again.

I wanted to try these tabs to see how they handled bullet points as my current tabs seem to work better in some browsers than others (probably my html mind you)

It seems to be handling bullet points much better in Chrome and Safari, I haven't tried Firefox yet. However, I can't see how to place the tabs above the 'related products' section - it doesn't quite look right appearing before them - see here as an example: http://www.itmustbegreen.co.uk/acata...Eco_Radio.html

UPDATE: after installing these Teclan tabs every single fragment I had that had copy in it (describing all my product sections, so about 40 in all) stopped displaying. These content sections are vital for the SEO of the site so I've had to uninstall the tabs. Unless there is a work around - I really couldn't recommend using these (another huge dissapointment from Teclan, who yet again never not got back to me to help me).

Hi Dorian. Thank you for the feedback. As we discussed with you today please let me know if you still require our assistance with this issue as we are keen to ensure this is resolved to your satisfaction.

Note: We have updated the Tabs installation instructions to eradicate the erroneous quote character that MS Word threw in which resolves the issue experienced.
