Distributed Users / Merging Product Ranges

    Hi all,

I currently run a basic actinic site, but the company are thinking of merging our product base with two other companies products... Is there a way to do this? As Actinic generates all the HTML (rather than dynamically pulling the info from a live DB) I can't see an easy solution. The other company's don't (currently) use Actinic. Is there some way I could get them to output XML or some format that could be merged into my Actinic database?

Any help ideas appreciated... Otherwise I'll have to build the whole thing myself

    Thanks,
    Paul

have you had a poke around the external linking? (file ---> external links)
You can then link the products in Actinic to the new database

Perfick. Like I said, I only use Actinic for the basics so didn't know it could do that. Hopefully that'll work out. I'll be able to build my own interface to an external DB that the other companies can use. Hopefully I'll get a gold star for this.

      Thanks,

There's a fair bit Actinic can do that people are not aware off.
It's all in the help files if you need it

        Good luck
