One time Customer / special prices

Hi using v904 Business. We have agreed special prices with a professional body, who will send members to our site. Problem is we don't know them and price discounts are not uniform.

Is there a way to ask customers to select a price group on the front page and pull this into their order ?

Is there a better way to manage this ?

    Thanks in advance
    Thanks

Not sure what you mean by '...and price discounts are not uniform', but perhaps you could create a customer account for the professional body and distribute the login to those customers.

By not uniform I mean that some products are -10%, others -12% etc so I cannot apply a coupon at the checkout stage, as the mix is different.

By creating an account and distributing it, would mean that people would log in and see the ordering details and payment information of the previous Customer (I assume), so a no go option.

Perhaps a one time account option, but don't thinkg Actinc has this functionality ? where customer logs in using a generic ID, then creates an account , and the next customer does the same creating a different account, via the generic ID, which holds the attributes.

Else a way to ask the Customer to identify their credentials when starting to shop. We only ship physical products, so if a Customer selected prices they were not entitled to, we would block shipment.
      Thanks

I would try and keep it simple. Presumably what you want is to distribute a discount code (coupon) to the body members that gives them the appropriate discount.

I can really only see two ways this could work.

        1. I know actinic can group products. Is it possible for the same code to give a different discount on selected groups of products ? I haven't used these so don't know the answer. Anyone?

        2. Alternatively, can you go back and renegotiate a fixed discount? Having different discounts on different products is just making life hard for yourself.

          .
My understanding of the ACCOUNT is that it just offers the people who sign in a seperate price list that they can use to order, and all they have to change is the delivery address

Nobody else can see the order or past orders except you

I think Chris is correct on this. Actinic has no online database so they won't be able to see any previous orders / history.
