Country/Province Problem in Checkout??? Weird

Hi

Has anyone come across this problem before in the checkout, if so how did you fix it..

Would anyone have an idea why this would happen.. its weird because there is no rhyme or reason as to what it will allow... I can put in Austria or the UK and it will go through fine, but I can try Belarus or Australia and it wont work.

Any ideas?

Check your locations, check your tax settings for those locations, if all looks OK do a website | refresh and see if that solves it.

Its corrupt.. I added some country codes then set up some provinces within that (For Example - Channel Islands and then Guernsey/Jersey) and although it allowed me to do it, Actinic obviously didn't like it.

Am working on a clean site now without touching the country codes and its fine.. so thats obviously it. Can't use a backup as its something I changed really early on, so have taken a design snapshot and have copied all the content over.

I have a similar problem with crashing when I edit my shipping zones/classes.
Try doing edits one at a time and that might at least let you do it. If I try more than one, Actinic DMPs on me

Got a headache now.. I've got Liveperson so I can see people trying to check out and then obviously getting p****d off and dumping out the website..

Now I copied all the products over and its screwed all the customer group pricing up so have got to re-do it all. I have about a gazzillion backups thinking I was being clever and wouldn't get caught out in the event of a corrupt database but failed to check that one thing and agghhh.

Of course I checked that I could check out, but only from the UK.. note to anyone messing with shipping, test international checkout and test several countries as some worked and some came up with the error.

Why not remove the channel islands for the time being, at least the vast majority would be ok then hopefully.

Its screwed up the lot, no idea why - even US and I never even so much as hovered my mouse over that location!

UK does work though... so thats something.
