Exclude Single Product From Shipping

Hey Everybody

Hopefully a really basic question. How do you exclude certain from products entirely from being charged shipping while you are using the simple shipping mode?

For instance my shipping costs are calculated as Free over £150 otherwise £4.95 per order. I would like to exclude some products from that whole process entirely though, how do i do that?

Set the delivery costs at product level.

On the Details tab, check 'Exclude from Shipping Band Calculation'

This will remove the product from your shipping bands - though I haven't tried this with Simple Shipping mode.

Switch to shipping by weight, will take 5 minutes to switch and you have all the power to set any shipping costs you want then. The exclude button doesn't work on simple shipping, i think the tooltip explains this in more detail.

I'm afraid not, not if simple shipping is not what you after. It's a very black and white selection is simple shipping. It's literally 2 minutes to switch over though to by weight. Don't think of it as weight, think of it as a unit of measurement which you can apply to any product. Products needing no charge get 0kg weight corresponding to a £0.00 charge, the rest use the default weight, really easy i assure you.
