buy it now not working

I am working on a new customised site:

Obviously there is quite a lot of 'messing about' going on here.

BUT i have one very specific problem, why is the BUY IT NOW button not working on the extended information page.

I must be missing some code, but I'm not sure what.

In the library, make a copy of your product layout. Then right-click the original layout and 'Revert to Factory Default' - then compare the two layouts to find the 'wrong' code.

As a side note, the 'cart' feature seems to show I have one item in the cart at £8.99 - I ain't ever been on the site so am assuming this has been hard-coded and not yet completed.

Further to that, IMO your shipping costs are too high for the product range given. If that's the best rates D(rop It)H(ide It)L(ose It) could offer you, I'd say it's time to move on

yes product page cart shows item in cart, but go to shopping basket page and its empty, go to checkout and there's nothing in cart either.

Best solution as Grant says is look at a clean layout to spot where you incorrectly made a change.

Or revert to factory and rebuild you customisation, testing step by step
