Associated product appearing in cart

Hi,

Could anybody help me out got a problem thats sending me mad and i am sure there must be an easy answer.

I have a product that is available in several different colours. Each product has a different reference code. I have created a main product and then used the product options to create a dropdown selection of all the colours and prices of that product. Each colour has its own reference code.

When I add to basket I get two lines the first one is the main (associated) product with an editable field for quantity and no price at the side.

The next line down is the actual product that has been put in the cart with the correct desription and reference code with a non editable quantity field and the correct price.

My dilema is that I do not want the associated product the top line to be there I just want the selected option on one line with an editable quantity field.

Any ideas please welcome

you need to find the box that decides on the pricing model to use. you'll find it in the parent product options, after you ahve adone adding permutations, and associating them with invisible products.

it says something like: 'sum of component prices'
