Problem Publishing

I have just completely revamped my web site and when I tried to upload the Actinic catalog it kept coming up with duplicate errors. I assumed that was due to the site already uploaded (the old one) So I went into the site and delted it completely. I then ran the Configure Web Site Details and the Network Setup test. All came through as OK but, when I try to Publish to Web, I get the hourglass and nothing else - it just seems to stick there. Is there something I can do to get the site up?

try changing your script id (common solution that seems to kick start Actinic)
Go into Network Settings and change your CGI Script No to something else (eg, if it's 1, change it to 2)
Then try uploading and see if that makes a difference.
If you have any hard coded links that use your script ID in them, you'll need to re-do them but it shouldn't have any other problematic effects.

If it doesn't work, might as well change it back (then try again)

Changing the cgi to 2 seems to have done the trick. Don't think I have any hard coded links - how would I know? Apart frpom knowing I did them, which I didn't!!

you're only really likely to have them if you've hardcoded search results or links to the contact page/cart etc using full links.
You'd probably know, if you had, tbh.

Glad it fixed the problem anyway.

Spoke too soon. It started and got quite far but then it stopped and started asking me for photos that don't exist in the site! I have gone through everything to make sure they are pointing to the right place etc but it all seems ok. Then when I tried to publish to website again - guess what? It is stuck on that hour glass again!! Aaargh!

Actually deleted everything again and started from scratch and it worked - thanks Tracey
