Checkout not appearing right in teclan theme

I purchased a teclan theme, i believe it is the "Choco" one and it's been fine appart from recently realising the checkout and view cart stretches more than it should -

Can i set it to only stretch as far as the middle pane?

I would suggest you contact Teclan's tech support team - or maybe Actinic's. There has obviously been issues with the design import, as some elements from your previous theme are showing through on the design import. Teclan should be able to put that right, though

I was just thinking i'd ask here first as Teclan recently made a courtesy call and hung up on me mid sentence and then sent an email to say if i needed anymore help they would be happy to charge me only a small fortune.

Teclan's prices are actually very competitive. Ask a local web designer - or any of the designers here on the forum - how much it would cost for a new site design, then ask Teclan. I don't see many other developers (in fact, none at all that I recall) offering design packages at a set low-cost.

Phone manners from all the guys at Teclan has always been great for me, very professional. I doubt anyone would hang up on somebody mid sentence without a valid reason.

Perhaps send a polite e-mail asking for assistance instead of going all guns blazing on a public forum, as you're putting your own companies reputation on the line

the thing to do is check that the theme in its default form has the same layout - if it does then I am sure teclan will fix it as the centre area may not wide enough. However if you have customised the theme after buying and created the layout problem it it is not unreasonable to be charged to fix it.

The checkout width issue is down to a width setting in Actinic site options being set to 750, when it should be set to 580 (as per the original theme)
This is a minor change within the Actinic software and will resolve the issue you are experiencing.
There are, as Grant referred to, other issues within the checkout that need to be addressed as well. The customised layouts required appear not to be correctly set within Actinic for the checkout area. All our themes have layouts which require to be selected, as per the theme installation instructions.
Again, we would be happy to direct you in resolving these issues as well.

I'd also like to mention that my Colleague reported the "line going dead" when we recently contacted you on the 16th following an email communication to see how you were progressing with the theme. My apologies that we were not able to get straight back in touch with you to explain that we did not hang up on you - not a practice we advocate.

Regarding any charge for additional work you may have been quoted, as Jo mentioned, anything that is incorrect or not correctly working as represented within the purchased theme we will of course aim to address and resolve without additional cost. For requests for work to be undertaken that is out with the theme design, features and functionality would be quoted at our fixed, standard hourly rate.
