Problems with redirection to login page

Greetings all

I am a new user and have set up an online shop but I am having difficulties with a few areas, can anyone help? I have Business Plus.


Firstly I have uploaded the site and I am in the process of testing it to see how things work before I go live.

I have setup a holding page with index.html and base the Actinic homepage with _index.html so I can test online

When I first access the site I am presented with the homepage which is fine but once I try to select anything from the Product Section I am transferred to a login page asking for a user name and password, which I don’t want.

How can I change this so the customer can browse the site without being forced to register?

I would also like a page that has all forms on it so the customer can register there details with me, which I would like to come up when the customer is at the purchasing part. How can I redirect the site to make this happen?

I have setup a dummy user to test the site and now I cannot logout, Is there an option for this to be apart of the site?

I have used the template and change the colours but I cannot find where I can change the colouring in the secure sections, Can someone point me in the right direction?

this doesnt happen to me so i think it may be just the cache on your pc.

actinic has a TEST mode, which is useful rather than upload a test site to the future live space - its on the Web Menu

sort out the cache, maybe upload to test mode then come back and tell us which problems are still there

Sorry but what is cache and how do I sort it out.

and how can I set up a login / logout page as I cant test the site because it has me loged in as my dummy user.

try an internet search on "clear pc cache" or similar.

sort out the pc cache first, this may allow your pc to think it is now logged out

OK cache has been cleared, but problem still exists.

When I enter the site www.thebridalshop.co.nz/_index.html I am presented with the home page which is fine. If I click on one of the products featured I am taken to that products page, but if I try to select a product from the Products Section I am kicked into the Login Page.

Is there anyway to stop this from happening?

Hi James,

Welcome! Your site works fine for me- I can browse all sections, add products to the cart, and proceed to checkout. All sections appear to work, as do the featured products on the homepage. I think you must have a local problem on your pc. Have you tried checking the site from another computer?
