    background images not showing.

I have added a stylesheet to a custom design. The stylesheet called "c.css" is the last item before the "head" closing tag </head>.

The stylesheet uses background images for the page and header. These images have been added to the "site 1" folder. They are directly referenced ie "URL(bg-image.gif)". I have also added each of the files to the actinic "additional files" section.

The images do not show up in actinic, they also don't show up on an actinic "preview" store. Yet when I open the design in dreamweaver, they show fine.

On inspection of the preview site folder, the cascading stylesheet c.css is present, but none of the images are.

    Any ideas?

Be it necessary or not I still add css referenced images to the additional files list as well as copy them into the Preview folders manually.

You'll do far better if you listen rather than try to teach, i've not had a problem in this area for 5 years, you have. We are talking about actinic here, try it and see how wrong you are, much better idea than arguing the toss.

I'll bow to your superior actinic knowledge and clarify my earlier comment, for W3C compliance quotes are not needed. But then again when has W3C compliance ever been a consideration for actinic? Having put them in they now show.

                Thanks for your help!

Well you got that bit spot on lol .

I believe Google fails too amongst some other massive names. Actinic has too many of its own tags to ever pass unfortunately, there is a host of actinic sites and people on the compliance graveyard over the years, who have tried and failed. Maybe one day.....
