    Quickbooks 2009 and Beyond

I've just learned that Actnic Link no longer supports QB 2009 and beyond. I know Actinic has a bigger following in the UK and Sage is the accounting software of choice there, but does anyone know of an alternative or an add-on to transfer orders into Quickbooks for us poor blokes in the US?

The Actinic - Quickbooks link has been a major selling point to my customers (besides the SEO advantage), because of the scalability aspect. I'd hate to move to another shopping cart software now.

Actinic are continuing to support the latest version of QuickBooks US. It's just in the Uk that the latest version isn't supported - because Intuit removed half of the interface that we used.

Well Chris that certainly is good news. I wish I had spoken to you instead of Brian here in the US. According to him only up to QB 2008 is supported.

So, can I tell my customers it's OK to buy Actinic Business and they will be able to download orders into Quickbooks 2009?

So any update here? Can I tell my customers to buy Actinic 8 Business and it will connect to QB 2009?

Todd, there seems to be a mix up with communications, involving an employee who has now left Actinic. This isn't Brian's fault, the problem was on Actinic's side.

I'm just clarifying things with Brian so he can post here the definitive answer.

                  Hello Todd
Sorry for the delay on this, I can successfully connect to a Quickbooks 2009 US edition company, I can transfer products / customers into Actinic, and can transfer Sales Orders and Invoices into Quickbooks

I am however having a problem where Quickbooks and Actinic Link are not on the same computer, it complains about being the wrong version. I'm chatting to the team about this.

In short, if you have Link and QB on the same PC, its fine with version 1.60 ICSA of Link. I'll keep you posted about when the systems are on different computers

                    Hello again Todd

Sorry my mistake, looks like earlier versions of Quickbooks didn't work when they were on different computers either, sorry for the confusion.

In short, QB2009 looks fine with Actinic Link for Quickbooks 1.60 ICSA

I can second that - it saves me a ton of time. According to QB QB2009 and under will not work with Windows 7 - Just a little tidbit for those of you that use QB Actinic Link.
