    Actinic Link with Sage integration

    Hi,

I have never had to set-up Sage integration into any clients so far but have got one coming up and another enquiry.

I was just wondering how easy it is to do from inside Actinic and Sage respectively?

A rough indication of actual time would be most useful.

Also, if anyone has any tips, they would be gratefully received.

The link Actinic to sage is quite easy and not to time consuming about 15 mins or so, just follow the link program notes and defaults and you should find it easy, you will need the sage code from sage but that is explained in the link notes

I just use it for transfering sales to sage without stock take and that way it does not need sage to have any list of products etc as it transfers the actinic sales invoice over

Sorry no idea about the other way around Sage to Actinic, but seem to remember some problems with it

        Sage Link

The only issue we have found is that Sage seems to interpret discounts in a random way if imported from Actinic when using the discounts / marketing function.

This has meant lots of time spent correcting Sage invoices to match payments, no other issues found and been using it for over a year, now with V9.04 business plus multi user.

          Hi Ed,

          Thanks for the heads up.

It's good to know that there is no major issues and it's working well for most users.

i export the order complete and use sage for stock control, but your find it has a fit with cancelled lines and refunds. It ignores refunds, but this maybe the way i set it up.

I was going to try MSA but never got any replies from someone that had written intergration for it. So decided to play a bit more with the intgration. I use it to import stock levels back into Actinic once i have booked stuff into sage.

If you do this you need to mark all orders in Actinic for deletion before you import the stock records, then undelete them when finished or you end up with the wrong stock levels in Actinic.

              Hi Darren,

Sounds like there are some interesting bugs... cough "features" I mean!

              Cheers.
