Out of stock message - error?

When adding an item to the cart I get the following error:

The following product(s) can not be added to the cart.
You can find the error description(s) by following the link(s).
    •Station Terminus

    The text then shows:

We are sorry, the combination you selected is unavailable at present due to Station Terminus being out of stock.

The item is a simple item, with stock control on and one item in stock.

This seems to be happening on several of our products. Have tried Refresh Website but it has not helped.

    Any suggestions?

    Mark

What about minimum and maximum order quantities for the product - are they set?

Didn't that just answer your own question? Lol

Hi - thank you all for looking at this.

According to the help file, If there is a '0' in the Maximum Quantity field, it means there is no limit to how many can be bought.

The item number R8004 is set up the same and works correctly, however item R8009 does not.

            Oh, yeah. LOL.

In that case, disable R8009's stock monitoring, compact the database (Housekeeping > Compact Databases), re-open Actinic, Refresh the site.

On the Stock tab - what have you got for 'Warn if Below' and 'Suspend Orders If Below'?

Mark - have you got this setting applied to all your products? I was just checking on your site and I was able to put 4 of the "R9074 Thomas and Bill Set" into my cart even though the page says you only have 2 in stock. You should be aware that stock levels on their own will not stop this type of 'over-ordering'. You need to set the Max Quantity Orderable to be the same as your stock level on all products to get the functionality I think you're looking for....

Warn below is set to 0 (uses default of 1 (?))
Suspend if below is set to 1

Switching off stock monitoring, compacting database, switching back on stock monitoring and then refreshing the site appears to have done the trick. Thank you all for your help.

                      Hi Mark
I still see the 'over-ordering' problem I described in post #8. Just checking you are aware of this.

                        Hi Richard

Thanks for the info. We have found over the last 12 months that very few customers order more than we have in stock, if they do order more they are generally aware of it and expect some delay. We did look at limiting the order amount with Mole End but decided against it in the end,
