    Problem pasting components

    Hi,

I can't seem to copy and paste a component to a new product. Whenever I try copy and paste I get the message "Some variants were not pasted because it would have led to duplicates". Nothing actually gets copied at all.

Surely you can have components with the same name in different products?

    Any ideas?

Yes, you can have components with the same name and the same choice names.
Perhaps you're trying to post the copy into the same section?
    That won't work IIRC.
    Kind Regards

Solution - Say you call a component "Selection" called the second component "Selections" and then, this should work however remember to delete the html section which appears under the part you are writing onto - Did this answer your problem?

        Hi,

It seems to be working OK now. Don't know what I was doing wrong before. Something stupid probably....although actinic did crash a short while later so maybe it wasn't just me!

        Thanks for your suggestions/reassurance,
        Lance
