    Paypal Not Sending E-mails

    Hi,

    I've tried to do a search on this but couldn't find any information on it, so, sorry in advance if this has already been covered.

    We have a problem whereby when a customer orders via Paypal, the customer (and ourselves as we have invoices sent to our e-mail address) they don't receive an e-mail containing their order details. In addition we don't receive the e-mail either and we don't receive any e-mail confirmation from Paypal to notify us of a payment.

    The system works perfectly with Sage Pay, but just won't work with Paypal anymore.

    Has this happened with anybody else and does anybody have any solutions or tips on where I need to search to correct the problem?

    We are using Actinic 8.5.3.0.0.0.IDHB

    Do your customers return to your website after paying with Paypal or do they just stop at Paypal. Actinic does not know that the payment had been completed if they don't return to the website after paying.

      Hmm what ever happens you should receive the payment email from paypal assuming your email address in your account is correct. The problem with receipts from your site is well known and generally something you have to do manually, when they fail to return to your site after making the payment.

        hello, i have just had an oder paid via paypal, i have no idea what they have bought, so have had to email them to order again and choose payment by cheque, so I will then know what they have bought, I am not happy with this situation so I may have to abandon the paypal option.

          You should have a copy of the order in Actinic. Check your PSP pending tab.

            when you download and order that will tell you what they brought?

            DO NOT rely on customers to return to your site, paypal is crap and pointing this out and people just close the browser

            IMHO the email should be sent when the server recieves the call back from the PSP not returning to the reciept page

            Dont forget if you use GA and paypal then these figures are completely crap as they dont return to the reciept page so dont get recorded
