External preview bug | Actinic Jumps To a Different Section/Product/Page

Developer v9.0.4 JFJA, Windows XP, FireFox 3.011

Switch to design tab and preview a section in the external browser (it displays fine) but Actinic switches focus back to the homepage. Most annoying when previewing mods. This does not happen when previewing from the content tab.

This occurs on 2 machines both running the above spec

I wasn't sure if this always happened in V9, but it goes to random sections for me when I use external preview.

Actinic Jumps to different page after page preview

I'm not sure if this is just a 'peculiarity' to my installation but it's only started since upgrading to 9.0.5.

When I do an offline page preview, Actinic 'jumps' back to a different page.
It's always the same page each time (probably the last one highlighted when I snapshotted or something) but it's annoying, especially when I'm previewing from the design tab (the offline preview generation, not 'in Actinic preview') and I'm working on a specific layout which will have been highlighted in the design tree.
It means I have to navigate myself back to the product/layout I was working on each time which, while normally not overly time consuming, if I'm previewing a lot (which, thanks to Firebug, I do) then it's a PITA!

Does anyone else experience this or is it just me?

I see that too on 9.0.5. You end up in a different place in the Content Tree from where you were.

I can confirm the same here with v9.0.5 and seems to revert the page that was highlighted when the last Actinic session was closed.

possibly, yes. Mine only ever gets closed when it gets compacted, crashes or DMPs (guess which one more often LOL) but, judging by the one that it's currently jumping to (our delivery details page) that seems likely.

Glad it isn't just me though! It's certainly a very recent thing so most likely coincides with the upgrade to 9.0.5

Weirdly, I don't recall noticing it before!
It'd probably help to narrow it down to the versions it does and doesn't happen on though.

Yes, that's been happening since at least 9.0.4 and is still there for us on 9.0.5
