    Defined Product Search

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me out with this. I am trying to make a page that is a bit like a search however it is very advanced.

the customer will visit the page and fill out a small form, for example it will have, what is your childs age, whare product are you looking for, what manufacturer would you like, is your child a male or female. then after filling out all or some of the fields they can click search and it will display all the products that fit the search.

I was thinking I could add variables to each product, then go through the site and give each product a recommended age, if its for male or female or both, what manufacturer the product uses. then some how using these variables incorporate them with the search. however I have no idea on how I could do this

    any ideas?

When you create the new variable in the library set it to be searchable. The under Settings > Search Settings > Searchable Propertied the variables are there and can be selected to create a more refined search.

I like this type of product finder when you're not sure what you're looking for. Have some suggestions for you...

What Is The Ammount Of Space Available

Will One Person Be Using The Product
                AnyNoYes
Will Two People Be Using The Product
                AnyNoYes
Will Three People Be Using The Product
                AnyNoYes
Will Four People Be Using The Product
                AnyNoYes
Will More Than 5 People Be Using The Product
                AnyNoYes
How about simplifying things for yourself and your customers and using one variable for this:

How many people will be using the product?

                Options:
                Any
                1
                2
                3
                4
                5+

*Wonders if the search choices could be made dynamic as to prevent useless search results where there are no results, would be truly epic*

                  Hmm...

I made a new post about this and I had a problem about setting a product to use more than 1 variable, some products can be used with 1 and 2 and 3 people however I can only set the product to use one of them so instead I made a variable for each so that it can apply for each
